FUSD works in partnership with local agencies to provide support for students to access mental health services. In 2020, the Arizona legislature passed "Jake's Law" which created a fund that provides uninsured and underinsured children access to behavioral health services when they are referred through an educational institution-otherwise known as "school-based referrals."
Our local agencies to provide services under this Mental Health Block Grant are The Guidance Center and Southwest Behavioral & Health Services. You can contact The Guidance Center by calling (928) 527-1899 or access information at TGCAZ. You can contact Southwest Behavioral & Health Services by calling (928) 779-4550 or access information at SBH Services.
Information about the Community Mental Health Block Grant is located AZAHCCCS.
