Library Media

Library Media

The goal of our Library Media Center is to encourage students to become lifelong readers and confident users of information and ideas.

Marshall's Library Media Center serves over 450 Pre-K through 5th grade students, families, and teachers. Children come to the library with their homeroom for scheduled library times. Along with regular class times, students come to the library on their own for book selection, research, special projects, and computer use.

The library always has more work to do than hands to do it. This is a great opportunity for parents, grandparents, or community members that have a little time to volunteer to help out. Please contact us if you are interested.

The Library Media Center is open daily from 8:30 - 3:30pm.
Students are allowed to borrow books from the library on a regular basis.

  • Marshall students may check out one library book each time they visit the library as long as they have returned the one they borrowed during their previous visit. It is up to their teachers if the student takes these books home or if the books are part of the classroom library.

  • During the time students are involved in research projects, the one book policy is suspended to allow students to borrow additional materials in their area of research.

  • It is the student's responsibility to return library materials on time.  If they don't they will not be allowed to borrow other materials until they are returned.

  • If materials are lost or damaged it will be necessary to pay for them.

Please help your child become a responsible library user by helping them remember to return their books on time and care for them properly.
